Ronald Wayne Curtis

Ronald Wayne Curtis, 81, born in Fresno, California and long time Etowah, TN resident, passed away on July 12th, 2025 at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens. Mr. Curtis was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Army from September of 1968 to September of 1974. He was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and also served as a medic. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and was a car enthusiast. Mr. Curtis will be heavily missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Curtis is preceded in death by his parents Robert L. Curtis and Bessie Mae Curtis (Dockery), and several sisters.

He is survived by his daughter Audrey Rodgers and grandsons Exzayveon Smith and Landon Warren.

There will be a funeral service for Mr. Curtis at 1PM in the Chapel at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Etowah with Interment at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Military Honors to follow.
