Peggy Sue Tinsley Clemons

Peggy T. Clemons, age 71, of Niota, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023. She was a member of North Athens Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Tinsley and Izetta Moore Smitty; husband of 40 years, John “Steve” Clemons. 

She is survived by her daughter, Tara Wattenbarger (Michael Davis); grandsons, Brandon Wattenbarger (Alyssa Beauvais), Tyler (Haley) Wattenbarger; great grandchildren, Larkin Wattenbarger, Raelynn, Remi and Baylor Wattenbarger; sisters, Pat (Bill) Houseal and Pam (Alan) Purdy; very special friends, Bud and Sue Harris. 

Services will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
