Nellie Blanche Worthy

Nellie Blanche Worthy, 78, born on January 20, 1947 passed on to her eternal home at Park West Hospital, surrounded by her loving daughters Angie Mclemore and Lisa Worthy, granddaughter Serenity Worthy, nephew Roger (Jay) Mason and wife Kaye, on August 1,2025.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents father Monroe Harris and mother Maude Harris, her loving husband Charles Worthy, sisters Anna Ruth Harris, Irene Croft, Loucille Mason and Magdalene Glaze and brother Don Harris.

She is survived by her sister Gena Faye Davis, daughters Angela (Leon) Mclemore and Lisa Worthy, grandchildren Charles Daniel Mclemore, Serenity Ann Worthy and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Service for Mrs. Worthy will be held at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Etowah on Thursday August 7, 2025 at 7PM with Reverend Mitchell Bradley officiating and Brother Steve Stoltzfus to speak. Family will receive friends prior to service from 5PM-7PM. A graveside service with Reverend Ron Bard officiating, will be held on Friday August 8, 2025 at 1PM at New Bethel Church of God Cemetery, with a precession leaving the funeral home at 12:30 PM.
