Martha Bebe - Shante King

Martha Babe-Shante King, age 33, of Nashville, formerly of Athens, TN; went home to Heaven and is now at peace. She was a loving mother, daughter, niece and aunt, a kind, gentle soul who loved caring for her children. She enjoyed working at the clothing store and taking her children to the park and carnivals, when they came to town. Martha was a special, beautiful lady and will truly be missed by all that knew her.

Martha was preceded in death by her daughter, Zion Gilbert; father, Joe Lewis King; grandmother, Martha White.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Lee Gilbert III; mother, Terrie Henry; children, Thomas Lee Gilbert IV, Jeremiah, Zacheous, Braylon, Malia, Giovanni and Leanna Gilbert; siblings, Kenneth (Lisa) Arthur, Calvin (Cameron) Arthur, Nichole King; aunts, Jackie King, Terrie Jean Hannah, Linda Keller, Lolita Matthews; uncles, Allen Dodson, James King; cousins, Domonique, Na-Keya King, Natasha Defoe, James Evans, Almyssa Dodson and Cage Dodson.

A private service will be held at a later date.
