Kenneth “Ken” Polk, age 52, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 17, 2020, after a long struggle with pancreatic cancer. Ken was a fighter, and he battled his illness for almost two years to the very end. Kenneth was a Veteran of the US Navy serving multiple combat tours.
Ken enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, and paddle boarding he loved all activities outdoors. Ken was employed at Feintools as a Network Engineer. Ken believed in Christ and joined the church at an early age. He was a nurturing human being that once you met him, you fell in love with him.
Preceding him in death is grandparents William Henry Polk Jr and Carrie E Lockheart Polk; uncles William Polk II, Vernon Polk and Levi Polk.
Ken is survived by wife of 24 years Mary White Polk of Cleveland; daughter Kaliah Bolden of California; sons Elijah White of Cleveland and Jasiah Bowman of Cleveland; father Wendell Ervin Sr and mother Alma Polk Ervin of Alabama; brother Wendell Ervin Jr of Indianapolis; sisters Felicia and Joyce Ervin both of Alabama; uncle Minister Alphonso “Punchie” Polk; uncle James Polk of Marianna, Arkansas; aunts Bernice Polk, Erma and Julie Polk of Marianna, Arkansas, Mae (Emmett) White and Laverne (Gene) Neal of Little Rock, Arkansas several brother and sisters-in-law along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many, many friends.
Family and friends will meet at Hammond’s Cemetery Saturday November 21, 2020 at 1:00pm for graveside services, with Reverend Edgar King officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service.
