Herbert H. Lillard

Herbert H. Lillard, age 91, of Athens, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Herb was a loving person and a Christian man. He loved children and animals. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Athens, where he sang in choir. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Korea and retired from Westinghouse.

Herbert was preceded in death by his many brothers and sisters; great-grandson, T.T. Caldwell.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Margaret Lillard of Athens; son, Herbert C. Lillard of Athens; sister-in-law, Ida Anders of Athens.

There will be a private family graveside held.
