Chassie Buckner, 92, of Coghill Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 24,2026 at home surrounded by her family.
Chassie was a woman who loved Jesus with everything she had. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she carried herself with quiet strength, peace, and unwavering devotion. One of her favorite Bible passages was Daniel 10:18–19, a reminder of God’s strength and peace — words she lived by: “Fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong.”
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bruce Buckner, and her sons, Timmy Buckner, Quinton Poteet, and Mike Poteet.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Brenda Bryson and Darlene Buckner; her son, Clay Buckner, and daughter-in-law, Connie Buckner. She was a proud and loving grandmother to seven grandchildren: Kevin, Kelly, Brian, Schonia, Josh, Cannon, and Cassie, along with several great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy.
Chassie was known not only for her deep love of family and faith but also for her love of fishing. She especially enjoyed fishing for red-eyed bass and even held the state record for catching the biggest one — something she was quietly proud of. Whether on the water or at home surrounded by family, she found joy in the simple blessings God gave her.
She was the very best mother and grandmother — steady, loving, and full of grace. Her home was a place of comfort, prayer, and unconditional love. Generations were shaped by her faith and the example she set.
Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice knowing she is healed, whole, and reunited with her loved ones. Her legacy of faith, strength, and love will live on in every life she touched.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
